According to the global population statistics conducted by Pew Research Center in 2022, there were 1.9 billion Muslims, accounting for 23.54 percent of the world’s population. In the next 20 years, the global Muslim population will reach 2.76 billion people, or 29.7% which is considered one-third of the world’s population. It shows that the Muslim consumer market is a huge and high-potential market. In addition, Muslim consumers tend to spend money more regularly.
Therefore, this event is organised to point out methods or opportunities for cooperation in imports and exports as well as the exchange of raw materials and up-to-date information on various regulations of each country that can aid in raising the level of ASEAN’s halal industry by holding a business panel to educate people about the trends, demands and opportunities of halal products, including policies for the development of halal industry in each country and guideline for collaboration to expand ASEAN’s halal market to the global venue. There is also a business matching activity to help connect businesses in the ASEAN halal market.
