The double burden of obesity and undernutrition has become an emerging threat to health and healthcare systems in the region, and many countries across Asia struggle to contain these issues. Amid growing policy pressures to address these public health issues, supporting good health remains to be one of the most vital roles of the food and drink industry.

With the growing policy pressures to address the rising obesity epidemic and non-communicable diseases (NCDs) in Asia; the food industry has been working to deliver solutions through product innovation and reformulation to nudge healthier behaviours by improving the nutritional quality of its food products.
