SUMMARY:China-ASEAN Industrial Cooperation: Exploring RCEP
DESCRIPTION:The free-trade agreement of Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP) has created the world’s largest trading block\, comprising the ASEAN countries\, alongside China\, Japan\, South-Korea\, Australia\, New Zealand\, with the aim to facilitate easier expansion of regional trade and investment.  \nChina has maintained its position as ASEAN’s largest trading partner since 2009 and as an important international cooperation city Sichuan\, in the west of China\, Chengdu is seizing RCEP’s huge development opportunity in terms of industrial chain and supply chain cooperation and general trade cooperation with ASEAN countries\, especially in sectors such as modern agriculture\, clean technology\, digital information technology\, consumer goods\, industrial production\, and cross-border e-commerce. \nTo talk about business opportunities between China and ASEAN\, from both industry and individual SMEs’ perspective\, ASEAN ACCESS is organising a virtual panel session to explore new opportunities within RCEP and jointly build a new pattern of regional linkage development:  \n“China-ASEAN Industrial Cooperation: Exploring RCEP” \n13:30 – 16:00 (GMT +7) / 14:30 – 17:00 (GMT +8) on 9 August \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nYou will learn about: \n\nHow RCEP can promote cross-border trade and investment of SMEs between China and ASEAN\nWhat new opportunities will RCEP bring to the development of the digital economy in China and ASEAN countries?
