The Cambodia Women Entrepreneurs Association (CWEA) is representing Women leaders in Business, the newest influence and fastest growing impact on employment and economy of the country, formed in July 2011. CWEA is a registered Association with the Ministry of Interior (MOI) under registration number 483, with the initiative support from The Minister of the Ministry of Women’s Affairs (MoWA) in coordination with the World Bank. CWEA was launched on March 17, 2012 and has grown from 14 co-founders to approximately 700 members of women in different business sectors, to represent voices of women entrepreneurs in the society and play an important role in contributing to the government’s policy making. CWEA is a non-governmental institution, governed by boards by volunteerism, and has transparent board elections every three years. (CWEA) is a membership-based organization of women who are engaged in small and medium sized enterprises.
