Colin has been working as a cross-cultural consultant, facilitator and trainer since 2008 and is the founder of Olive Training Consultants, based in Chiang Mai, Thailand, specialising in cross-cultural communications within diverse teams, relocation training and cultural onboarding programmes, as well more discrete subjects such as 'Face within Thai Society and Business'. Colin also facilitates mainstream training competencies such as Presentation and Facilitation skills and employs his experience working within Southeast Asia to ensure participants’ own cultures and learning styles are intrinsically embedded in the design and delivery of all his programmes. Colin has significant experience designing and developing competency maps and employee learning pathways for company Training and HRD departments and has developed nationalisation programmes, mainly within the resource sector in Southeast Asia, drawing heavily on the latest anthropological and pedagogical research with the aim of maintaining currency in an ever-changing field.
